How can I persuade my parents to let me have a dog?

When I was much younger and wanted a pet, my dad really didn't want one as he doesn't like animals that much. I wrote a letter to explain how I felt about having a pet. That worked! Maybe try a letter and then you won't be constantly nagging them!
