But my mother, gosh, well she was forcing some religion at me, and I started saying why I didn't believe in a god, and asking her questions, and her answers got more nonsensical, even to herself, until she didn't say anything, and just kept saying that she wasn't smart enough to explain her beliefs to me, but that other people like her father an professors had given her answers that she found acceptable and that's why she believed. An you know what, just seeing her retreat into a mental hole like that just made me feel really bad. I suddenly saw her as the pathetic woman, who is raising so many kids with an abusive husband. And no, she's not the best mother by a long shot, a terrible mother in some cases. But all she does is work for her family, an take crap, her only comfort is her religion. It's probably her religion that's made her take all this crap, but it's probably her religion that's kept her having some sad pathetic hope that when she dies, her miserable life wont have been wasted. And even hough that's a lie, I didn't want to take it away from her. Especially not, when I saw her clinging to it for her life, irationally when I talked to her. She'd probably kill herself if she realized the truth at this point.

New pasta recipe is lacking pizazz...any ideas or ingredients I should try?

Here's a pasta dish I created...I mixed diced chicken , spinach, mozzarella, parmesan cheeses, italian bread crumbs, eggs, thyme, garlic salt and pepper together. I then stuffed the mixture into jumbo pasta shells and baked with an alfredo sauce. It was ok, but I feel something is missing. Its the not the full flavor I was hoping for. What other ingredient(s) should I consider adding to the mixture? I was thinking maybe less spinach, add more different kinds of cheeses, and adding sundried tomatos. What do you think?

Once in the a.m and once in the p.m. If you give your dog treats, they should become less frequent and occur maybe 3 times between its meals. See if you can find healthy treats- we use cheerios and carrots for our lab instead of cookies all the time. The exercise will help her to lose weight but also try playing with toys too even in the house. Hope this helps.

It's a Catch-22 situation these days. Repressed emotions eventually cause harmful actions, and these emotions are the reasons why we need to be on the drugs in the first place! It's so out-of-control these days with all these senseless killings of innocent victims. It's so irrational, it's terrifying, all these undirected rage. I am not a good politician. My directness gets in the way of communicating with people because most individuals are (in my humble opinion) soft. My son has a Masters Degree in Psychology. He teaches high school mathematics. In order for him to maximize his earnings potential he needs to pursue his PHD. He has expressed a desire to teach college. His wife has a Bachelors and teaches 3rd grade. When I suggested that she wait to pursue her Masters or that they both continue school at the same time she insinuated that I was a chauvinist. I treat women much better than I do men. If she were a man I would have told her where to go; however, she continues to play the chauvinist card. My son has shelved his plans to continue. I don't feel like the lone ranger. I see this everyday. Why is it that in society men have come under attack by women. I see it on television. Every sitcom has a dumb man and an extremely bright woman. Every commercial has a stupid and weak husband and a wonderful and caring wife. The majority of people that attend college are now women. I don't think that we as men receive the respect that we deserve. It is fine for a woman to scream or antagonize a man but if you give them a dose of their own medicine... I don't understand. Ok, i am on a basketball team, and i am the best player on the team. Now i really do not mean to sound y, but i am telling the truth. We are 2-7 (I know bad, right?) I am the leading scorer and rebounder on my team. My teammates are very inconsistent, and are either way on or way off. I play down low and have one guy to help me out with rebounding. I want to finish this season off with a good note but we cant find a rythym to win. The playoffs are simple, every team gets in, but a loss and you are out. I already know who we will have to play first game in the playoffs. The best team in the league that we got beat by like 25 when we played them. How can i step up as a team leader and make my team better? We need emotional and physical toughness, and more consistency throughout the playoffs. I really,really want to win but need help. Unusual Creme Anglaise Problem?

Yesterday I made creme anglaise to use as an ice cream base. I am always very careful to temper the eggs, whisk constantly, and not overcook it. When I took it off the stove it looked perfect. It was nappe, and completely smooth. I transferred it to a bowl and pressed plastic wrap directly on the surface, and put in the fridge. However, today I took the custard out of the fridge to find that it was almost as firm as pastry cream. When I tasted it, it was remarkably grainy. I have overcooked creme anglaise before, and am familiar with the texture of overcooked egg yolk, but this seemed different. The granules were tiny and dissolved on the tongue. Any ideas??? God, I never want to get remarried if I divorce. I don't want to share ets, I don't want to share expenses.If I did live with the person I wouldn't want to take a cell phone out in my name. I never meant for it to happen. The day it did happen, he had just learned to roll from belly to back and even then he would roll onto his back and then just stay there he wouldn't roll over again. Question about chronic hives...?

I've had hives everyday for the last four years. I have to get my gall bladder out tomorrow because I have a lot of stones. Is there anyway at all that my gall bladder could be the source of my hives? I've been to two allergists, a dermatologist and an immunologist and no one can tell me why I have hives. I'm sick of having them constantly. Seriously, every single day for the last four years. They just popped up out of nowhere and decided to stay. I can't take it anymore. The only time I didn't have them was during pregnancy. As soon as I delivered, the came right back. Is it at all possible that having my gall bladder out will take care of this? I should add that I have been on every prescription medication (and various combinations) every over the counter medication, steroids too. The steroids worked but you can't stay on them forever. I've had a biopsy done of my hives with no enlightening results. It's not my shampoo, soap, pets, etc. I've been thoroughly checked out.

K so I am 16 and this last week I went on a FFA trip. There was this one guy who also went and he was 18 and I have met him once before and said hi like twice. So the first night of our trip we stayed at these cabins and I was helping my cousin out with some of her boy problems and when I got back there was only like there was only like two kids in the lodge so I stayed for a few minutes and talked to them and one of the freshman in my chapter came and told me they were going to start a movie in one of the cabins so I went. When I got there the two couches were both completely full and there were two beds. There is nothing selfish about discussing these very serious thoughts with your parents. They would not want you to feel this way, they love you. You are obviously suffering from severe depression. It won't get better without help. You have been very fortunate in that you have been able to keep your grades up, that certainly is something to be proud of. But this is a serious issue that has to be and can be fixed. You have to have a psychiatrist who will make the proper diagnosis and there are many safe medications that will help you. Depression is a disease just like heart disease or diabetes and requires medication. You have to get help you don't deserve to live like this. I don't agree that men are easily led into affairs at all. If they were happy in their relationships they wouldn't even be faintly tempted. I know many happily married men who agree with this statement. But if their relationship is already bad and someone comes along and makes them feel y and wanted, then naturally they will be very tempted. And very often they will give in to that temptation. It's not a simple matter of having a more attractive woman smile suggestively at them. Without the pre existing relationship problems that would go nowhere. In fact I'm sure I will annoy many women by saying this. But years down the track after splitting up with my ex because he cheated I finally realised that I was never going to heal emotionally if I didn't accept my share of blame. Because it wasn't all his fault. There were many mistakes I made in our relationship and it was going nowhere fast. I'm definitely not saying he was blameless, or that the fact that he cheated was all my fault. But I do share the blame in the failure of our relationship. What can I do to calm my nerves about having an amniocentesis?

I am 22 weeks, and having an amniocentesis in two days. I think I've read too much on it and usually it always seems like the information is the worst possible scenario. They are concerned about spina bifida, and at first I was going to skip the amnio, but I feel it is best to be prepared especially since if there is something wrong with the baby's spine, its best for him to not be delivered lly as it can cause further damage. My ultrasounds all came back normal, but it was that stupid afp screening that came back borderline abnormal. And so I had this option of doing and so amnio was the next available test. Im so scared. I don't think anything is wrong with my baby, but if there is I want to be prepared for his arrival. How can I calm down?

What can I be diagnosed as?

For all my life, I've just had to overcome obstacles. I went through years of physical therapy due to birth defects that also left me half blind. Until 7th Grade, I was an Honor Roll student. However, from 8th until now; 10th, I've been skimming across the "p" line, just barely making it through. My family has a history of depression and slight mental illness as well, with my mother being clinically depressed and my father showing signs of depression also. I believe I may suffer from a large inferiority complex, as I used to be very anxious about my grades and as such constantly stressed over not doing well enough in school. Conversely, now I realize that my skimming has been because I haven't been doing the work. While many have told me I get distracted by things like Facebook and video games, I think that the distractions are just ways to take up time. I cannot think well of myself, and I openly reject any compliments given to me. Furthermore, I don't have any confidence, goals or motivation, and I can't even imagine what I'm going to do with my life, and it isn't helped by the fact that I can't think of anything that can thrill me or could truly make me happy. I've thought about exploring therapy options, but I don't think that will be possible if my family doesn't get insurance soon. I may edit this with more theories or evidence. I know that Yahoo Answers isn't the APA, but I'd appreciate any help.

Are large thyroid nodules (24mm) more likely cancerous?

I have already had my left thyroid out 10 years ago due to a cold atypical nodule pressing on my windpipe. It was determined benign after removal. Now I have a 24 mm cold nodule on my right thyroid. They said they could leave it if is benign because there is extra space on the other side for my trachea to move. ? Are large nodules more likely to be cancerous? Are taking thyroid meds after complete thyroid removal really hard to adjust?

Tofu crumbled into nothing!!!?

So I had some firm tofu that had been frozen for a few months and defrosted it in the fridge overnight. Then I opened the pkg of tofu, placed it on a paper towel, sliced it and pressed it between plates with several layers of paper towels. I waited about half an hour then peeled the paper towels off and saw the tofu was pretty flat and crumbly. I placed all of the tofu into a shallow gl dish and poured the marinade over top, and watched as the tofu virtually disintegrated into the liquid. It is now a mushy nasty mess that I don't know what to do with since it smells so wonderful!! i'd like to make this successfully next time so please share any tofu handling tips you may have acquired!!

Could I learn electric guitar from absolute scratch without any teacher?

Sure it can be done...You will have to practice for 4 or more hours a day if you want to get good enough fast enough...I started when I was 14 and Im 22 now...Within a few weeks I was better than all of my friends who had been playing for a year or so. I have never received a lesson from any one. I can sweep, shred, and play guitar at over 300 bpm. I have mastered multiple styles of music including clical guitar, folk, jazz, blues, rock, punk, technical death metal and neo clical shredding. Granted, I have practiced every day for 8 hours or more some times up to 16 hours...Anything worth doing takes work and a lot of it...I recently did the math and I have spent over 23000 hours practicing....just keep practicing as much as you can without hurting your self...You will regret any injuries sustained to your hands as they could take 6 months to heal. look up as many things on guitar as you can...you tube has a wealth of information.(I wish I had when I was your age)

P303 Code 1999 Grand prix GTP?

I'm having an issue with the P303 code I know it is the misfire in cylinder 3. here's the scoop. I have replaced wires, plugs twice, ICM, Switched around the Coils (still resulted in cylinder 3) and finally the fuel filter. It only seems to stall and set the code at WOT at about 4-6k rpm otherwise it seems to drive and idle fine. does this sound like a bad fuel injector?

Why do truck drivers honk, is there a code?

I travel a lot and get honked at all the time. I've looked online and found nothing. I am constantly honked at by truck drivers. I'm not driving too slow or blocking their way (I'm usually ping them in a different lane). I don't have on a short skirt. Does seem to happen more often when I've let my hair down and am wearing a hat but that makes absolutely no sense. Is a blonde in a sports car enough for a honk? Sudden death of clown fish??

We just got a saltwater tank. We set up everything, including water then got fish when everything was good to go. We got 4 fish, a blue yellowtail damsel,a royal gramma,a three stripe damsel and a clown fish. When the guy bagged them up and set them on the counter a little girl (not being watched) started shaking one of the bags of fish. After paying,we drove home and put all of the fish into the tank. The damsels and the gramma hid at first then came out,but the clown fish just looked lost. We thought that he was just nervous or scared because all night,he didn't sleep or eat,he just stared into the corner of the tank or the back. We kept an eye on him, thinking that he would be okay. He started swimming pretty fast at the top, then layed down at the bottom. He was breathing for a while then he just died. We're trying to figure out what could have made him die. All of the other fish are fine and they all got along great. Please share with me if you have any ideas of what may happened.

Sound like he's been allowed to enjoy his childhood...and that, which is rare for most horses unfortunately. Clydesdale's and other heavier horses do take longer than your average horse to mature so he's had the right thing done by him in regards to being broken at 4 and having light riding if much at all. He has the best chance at remaining sound throughout his life into old age because of this. He would still be farely green I'd say but nothing that some hrs under saddle isnt going fix. If you feel confidant in your ability to handle him then I wouldnt hestitate to buy him. I dont know anything about showing at all so I'm not sure about clipping and braiding rules... but as for keeping his feathers clean a good shampoo and condition will do the trick. You can buy shampoo specifically for white hair to use prior to showing or shampoo with some peroxide added but not much is needed, and rinse it quickly and thoroughly.
