Why does my cell take forever to send pictures?

My friends don't get the pics at all sometimes and when they do it takes forever to arrive. I have Att and have a LG Vue cell phone with 3G. it shoulder take no more than 30 seconds to arrive. Any1 else have this problem or know how to fix it? Ive done all the set ups for MMS and registering and all that. Help please
