Read this and tell me if anything CAN be done about this situation...?

I am early to work most of the time. I go long periods without ever being late. Recently, everyone including me and my boss was late because of traffic that morning and when I got to work and asked my boss if he got my voice-mail explaining that I'd be late and he said he did and that everyone including himself was late...but we didn't need to make it a habit. I got a little bit defensive and pointed out that I'm always early but had horrible traffic. His boss said something about it since everyone in our dept. was late that day. While I was at it I brought up something that was on my mind a while. I told him that this woman in our dept. was always late and he said that he was going to address that separately.
