What can I put in a vegtable salad?

I think the cheaper low-fat Italian dressings taste very "gluey" and are too bland:) You could just mix olive oil (about 1/4) to vinegar (3/4) with Kosher salt, pepper, oregano, crushed garlic, fresh rosemary and shake it up . Ken's Steakhouse has some light dressings that aren't too bad; and there are some Kraft Spritzer's..... I love alfalfa sprouts in salad. I actually prefer spinach to lettuce, unless it's mixed baby salad greens. You can put just about anything in there! Drained mandarin oranges, Craisins, cauliflower, raw peas, jicama, avocados, green or red onions, mushrooms, cut-up artichoke hearts, hard-boiled eggs, shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese, olives, peppercinis... and on, and on..... Change the dressing to complement the add-ins: Italian with mozzarella, olives, peppercinis & onions ... Fresh salsa (instead of dressing) with shredded cheese, olives, avocados, onions ... Raspberry vignarette with fresh berries, nuts & sliced onions ... Feta cheese, Kalamata olives, onions, tomatoes, cubers with Greek dressing.....
