When it comes to having affairs why are men so easily led?

I don't agree that men are easily led into affairs at all. If they were happy in their relationships they wouldn't even be faintly tempted. I know many happily married men who agree with this statement. But if their relationship is already bad and someone comes along and makes them feel y and wanted, then naturally they will be very tempted. And very often they will give in to that temptation. It's not a simple matter of having a more attractive woman smile suggestively at them. Without the pre existing relationship problems that would go nowhere. In fact I'm sure I will annoy many women by saying this. But years down the track after splitting up with my ex because he cheated I finally realised that I was never going to heal emotionally if I didn't accept my share of blame. Because it wasn't all his fault. There were many mistakes I made in our relationship and it was going nowhere fast. I'm definitely not saying he was blameless, or that the fact that he cheated was all my fault. But I do share the blame in the failure of our relationship. And in hindsight I thank him for cheating, because it gave me an excuse to end it and move on!
